16/12/18 - Samantha Jade being interviewed for the website "PerthNow.com.au"
Perth-raised singer Samantha Jade puts fans before charts.
Topping the charts isn’t Samantha Jade’s top priority any more.
After more than a decade in the industry, the former "The X Factor Australia" winner said she places a greater emphasis on pleasing her fans, rather than the industry:
“I have to say, i have definitely let go of checking and refreshing the charts all the time”, the Perth-raised pop star said, "It is not about that. Of course, you are always nervous and you always want everything you do to be well received and you want to be loved by your industry and peers, but you also just want the people that love your music and the people who have stuck by you to love you and what you are doing. That is much more important for me these days.”
Jade, who has released two albums within just 11 months — "Best Of My Love" and "The Magic Of Christmas" — described the achievement as “wild”:
“I think it is rare to have two albums out in this day and age, so it is really humbling and nice to be able to say, i have two records out”, she said, “This is my fourth album now, so it is pretty amazing.”
The 31-year-old had a revelation while recording the Christmas album:
“They print the lyrics out for you for some of the songs and i was like: "Oh my Gosh, i have made up my own words for so many of these songs for so many years”; she said, “I have to retrain myself to learn them correctly. But i just love carols. Carols really reflect this beautiful time of the year. My favourite carol this year is "I’ll Be Home For Christmas". I haven’t been home for a while and i am this year, so that one is very special.”

Samantha Jade: The truth about my relationship.
Samantha Jade opens up about the gift of giving, her new music and spending Christmas with someone special.
What are you doing this festive season?
I’m going home to Perth, which i am so excited about! I’m going to hang out with dad, my brothers and my puppies and have, i think, 10 full days off which is so exciting to me.
What does your family Christmas look like?
We’re such a relaxed family on Christmas, like we do presents in the morning – that’s the best part, then we just sit around and we play games and we listen to carols and we eat so much food and literally just [have] family time.
Will your boyfriend (Pat Handlin) be heading home with you?
Yes, my boyfriend is going to attend.
How are things between you two?
We’re going good, we’re very happy!
Is he the one? Would you propose?
Gosh. I don’t know. I think that’s the guy’s job!

29/11/18 - Samantha Jade being interviewed on 9Honey's "Celebrity"
How Samantha Jade is saying thank you to the nurses who helped her late mother.
Singer-songwriter Samantha Jade is paying tribute to the nurses who helped her late mum.
Jacqui Gibbs tragically died at the age of 51 in june 2014, six months after being diagnosed with cancer.
Four years on, Jade, 31, wants to thank the staff at "Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital" in Perth for taking care of her mother.
As part of "The Salvation Army" and "Coca-Cola's "It Feels Good To Give" campaign, the "Best Of My Love" singer is kicking off their nationwide "Secret Santa" by making sure the nurses feel special this Christmas:
"I just want them to be spoiled because they always are taking care of everybody else", Jade tells 9Honey's "Celebrity". So, we're going to give them a day like a spa. A pamper day, where they can be looked after for once. When my mum was unwell in hospital and she was going through such a hard time in her life - stage 4 cancer - she would call me and ask me to get presents for the nurses. It was a six-month period", the "Home And Away" star recalls, "It happened so fast. And those nurses were angels. They really were. The doctors, obviously, they do an incredible job. But, the nurses are just angels on earth. The way they know how to handle emotions and obviously, get the job done as well, is just amazing to watch."
Jade has always loved spending Christmas with her parents and her brothers, but she says it's bittersweet these days.
Her family continue to celebrate the holiday in the same house she grew up in:
"We've got the same Christmas tree, that we had for years and certain decorations i remember putting up with my mum when i was a little girl", says the singer, "Christmas is one of those big events that's just never the same [after losing a loved one] and it's kind of bittersweet in a way. So, we go through a bit of a moment. But, then i know she would be going: "Okay. Stop thinking about me now. Have a good Christmas", you know? So, we try and turn it around quickly and just enjoy it together."

Exclusive: "My brother was the best gift in the world": Samantha Jade reveals why Christmas will always hold a special place in her heart
She's the beloved Australian singer, who is committed to charity work.
And Samantha Jade has revealed why Christmas is her favourite holiday season.
Speaking to "DailyMail.co.uk" on tuesday, the 31-year-old said the festive season holds a special place for her because it marks the time around when her younger brother was born:
'I was an only child until i was seven [when] my brother was born and i remember that Christmas was so special cause he was born in november so it was like i had a baby brother for Christmas", she said, "It was very special to me. I thought he was the best gift in the World", she added, "I just love the Christmas feel, the spirit, it's such a good time of the year."
Having released her new holiday-themed album this month, "The Magic Of Christmas", Samantha explained the inspiration behind her festive tunes:
"I've always wanted to do a Christmas record and it just felt right. I wanted to choose songs that really meant something to me - Elvis Presley was a big hit in our household, so i put "Blue Christmas" there for my dad", she revealed, "Amazing Grace" is one of the first songs i ever learned and i put that on for my grandparents. So just things that are nostalgic and close to my heart."
The blonde beauty will be returning to Perth to spend special time with family over Christmas, but is unsure of her 2019 new years day plans just yet:
"I actually haven't even thought about new year's yet! I'll do something fun and something laid back", the songstress stated, adding that her resolution is to put aside more time for herself and family, "Sometimes, i get so carried away obviously with the year. I think it's really important to take time with your family and yourself."
On tuesday, Samantha dropped jaws while storming the stage for the launch of the "Coca-Cola Salvation Army "It Feels Good To Give" Christmas Truck Tour".
Clad in a red "Coca-Cola" themed shirt and ripped denim jeans, the "ARIA Music Award"-winning singer was all smiles as she posed beside a glimmering tree.
To complete the festive look, the stunner styled her hair in smooth waves, wore a glamorous makeup look and donned a pair of sky-high pumps.
She later changed into a striking pattern dress that featured an abstract print, balloon sleeves and pocket detailing.
Speaking about her charity work, Samantha said:
"Not many people get to say they do what they love as a job. I know how lucky i am to be able to say that so it's very important to me to give back. Charity work is so fulfilling it's also there to do. If we can use our voices for a good cause, then why not?", she added, "That's why i really wanted to come on board with this "Coca-Cola" and "Salvos" initiative because "Secret Santa" is one of the most exciting things and this one is really going around the country giving, so it's pretty amazing."

“I feel extremely proud to be affiliated with "The Salvation Army" for another year as their Christmas ambassador. The work that they do for families in need throughout the year and especially during the festive season is remarkable and extremely moving. The spirit of Christmas should be shared with all and i’m so pleased to help the "Salvos" achieve this”, says Samantha.
At the end of this month, Samantha and our "Hope Mission" team will travel to her home state of western Australia where we’ll be spreading Christmas cheer and kindness to the local community:
“Christmas is my favourite time of year and spending Christmas at home with my loved ones has always been a precious tradition for me”, she explains.
In the spirit of the season, Samantha has also released her debut album "The Magic Of Christmas" with a "Salvo" inspired bonus track recorded with "The Salvation Army" choir. ''It's so much more beautiful to be strong and fit''
Aussie singer Samantha Jade has come a long way since her days as a contestant on "The X Factor Australia".
Now, the 31-year-old has a new collection with "Bras N Things" and has flaunted her incredible rig as she talks health and fitness, exclusively with "NowToLove.com.au"!
By Gabriella del Grande
Sam, you look amazing! How do you like to stay healthy?
"Thank you so much! It took me a while to commit to working out, but once i started to feel the great benefits, i really loved it. I work out three times a week and try to eat as clean as possible."
Do you have any workouts you prefer over others?
"I do enjoy circuit training. Even though it's hard, it's fun to keep it moving."
How do you make time to work out with such a busy schedule?
"You have to commit time to looking after your health – your physical and mental health are improved by working out. I usually schedule it in the morning before work, or at night if my day is full. I train between sound checks during my tour!"
How do you feel about your body?
"As women, we put so much pressure on ourselves to be skinny, but it's so much more beautiful to be strong and fit. Working out for me is more to be healthy than anything else."
Describe your day on a plate
"Breakfast is either a smoothie or scrambled eggs and avocado. Lunch is a chicken salad or tuna and rice, and dinner will either be sushi, chicken or steak with veggies."
Are there any foods you try and avoid?
"I do usually avoid carbs after 6pm, and i've started to replace sugar with natural sugars if i do choose to have it. Cutting it out is really hard because i love sugar!"
When do you feel especially confident in your own skin?
"I feel the most confident when i'm happy and living a healthy lifestyle."
