20/11/15 - Samantha Jade being interviewed for the website "DailyMail.co.uk"

She's been focusing on the release her sophomore album "Nine" and has also been working hard on her budding acting career.

So it is safe to assume that a relationship hasn't been a major focus for blonde beauty and single singer Samantha Jade in the past year.

However, the 28-year-old told "DailyMail.co.uk" that 2016 could be the year she finds romance, saying:

"Next year, i feel like, is my year for the love."

When asked about her love life at the moment, the star replied:

"Oh god, nothing", before saying she simply hasn't had the time and she hasn't been too concerned about it.

The singer, who's mother Jacqui passed away after a cancer battle last year, said:

"Do you know what i think and what i've been saying as well, is that last year was about family for me. And you know, not about anything else, that was the number one thing", Samantha added, "This year was about today and really releasing that album. And putting everything i have into that, and my music."

"And next year, i feel like, is my year for the love and you know because if i had a boyfriend, i'd never see them. They'd literally see me for an hour a week maybe", she said with a laugh, "And i'd probably be sleeping in that time. I think it would be very hard. If i dated someone they'd have to get my schedule."

Talking about her ideal man, she said morals are of high importance stating:

"Someone who's got very real morals and is normal and you know, is excited by what i do, but it doesn't really mean much, like they are proud of me, but they don't want to be like in the industry and get pictures with every celebrity", she said, "I couldn't, i couldn't do that. I'd like a guy that was like: "I don't want to come to this event with you, unless you really want me to be there. I want a really real person", she added.

In recent months, the stunner was linked to "The Bachelorette Australia"'s Dave Billsborrow and she clarified the rumours and says, she knows him through his cousin - her back up dancer Jacqui Heeney - and they've met:

"I've met Dave a billion times with her. Yeah, that's what that is", she said.

On friday, her highly-anticipated album "Nine" was released and Samantha admits she feels both excited and nervous:

"It's a weird feeling because it's been such a longtime coming for me", she said, "It's definitely one of those records that i've put a lot of time and effort into. And you know, i've held onto for a while just so we can get it right." 'Finally this felt right to come out and i'm just so happy it's come out. Overall, the album is about positivity, i do believe everyday you have a choice and to go down a negative road and a positive road and i believe in the positive route. So for me, it was kind of about that too."

Samantha first came to fame having won "The X factor Australia" in 2012 and her latest work follows 2012's australian debut and self-titled album, which had a collection of covers. The "Shake That" singer has also dabbled in acting and in 2014 played Kylie Minogue in the miniseries "INXS: Never Tear Us Apart". She's also just recently signed up as part of the "Home And Away" cast, with the announcement being made in september.

She said juggling it all has been "a little hard", but she wouldn't have it any other way:

"If you love what you do, it's not work and that saying is so true and is very true for me. I think its about hard work and dedication and going look now, i'm going to focus on my music and now, i'm going to focus on my acting and spreading it evenly", she said, "Because for me, i had finished the record. So it was kind of just putting on the finishing touches and the final edits. So luckily, i wasn't recording the album because i don't know whether i could have done that."
