Australia’s biggest television personalities will hit the red carpet before tomorrow night’s "Logie Awards" ceremony in Melbourne.

While most are looking forward to stepping into the spotlight, Perth’s Samantha Jade is a bundle of nerves.

Nominated for her first "Logie Award" in the "Most Popular New Talent" category for her portrayal of Kylie Minogue in Seven’s hit miniseries "INXS: Never Tear Us Apart", the 28-year-old pop star turned actress is not thrilled about her impending red carpet walk:

“To be honest, i don’t actually like red carpets”, she told "TheWest.com.au" ahead of the star-studded event, “That’s one of the things of the job that i don’t like. I always feel really nervous and i’m a bit fidgety. I’m used to singing and expressing myself while performing, so red carpets i’ve never been able to settle on. It’s not something i’m looking forward to at all.”

Despite feeling apprehensive about making a grand entrance, Jade is excited to be wearing a bespoke gown designed for her by "Claremont" bridal house "Pallas Couture", created in consultation with her stylist Jules Sebastian:

“It’s beautiful — it’s in the neutral colours, i’m not doing a crazy colour and that’s all i can say”, Jade said of the design, which will be unveiled tomorrow, "I’ve loved working with "Pallas Couture" because they’re from Perth and i’m a proud Perth girl.”

After her "Logie Awards" debut, the 2012 "The X Factor Australia" winner hopes to pursue more acting opportunities while juggling her successful music career:

“I’d love to do more acting but i’m not just going to take any part, it has to be the right thing especially because i dedicate all of my time to music, so it has to be worth taking time out for”, she said.

Jade isn’t the only western Australia star up for a "Logie Award" tomorrow night.

"The Project" co-host and new mum Carrie Bickmore is once again up for the "Gold Logie Award" for "Most Popular Personality" on australian television, as well as "Most Popular Presenter", while western Australia-raised Mandy McElhinney and Jessie Marais, co-stars in Nine’s retro drama "Love Child", will compete for "Most Popular Actress".

Marais’ popular nomination is also for her role as transgender pioneer Carlotta in the ABC's telemovie of the same name.
