Samantha Jade gets candid with ''Perth Now'' as she arrives back in western Australia.

If you think you’ve spotted Samantha Jade around town, that’s no look alike, it’s really her!

The western Australia treasure is back in our beautiful state and she sat down with ''Perth Now'' ahead of her return.

Jade recently made headlines when she appeared on the 2022 season of ''The Celebrity Apprentice Australia'', but it’s her latest single ''Dance Again'' that has everyone moving and grooving:

“I hadn’t had a song in a while and that’s always a nerve-racking, slash exciting moment because you can kind of do whatever you want because it’s been a while. But also coming back in has always been a bit of a challenge too”; she explained to ''Perth Now'', ''I wanted to put something out that felt real for me at the time...i suffer from anxiety so that (Covid-19) really heightened my anxiety for a little while, but also gave me a lot of time to reflect. So i wanted to write this song about positivity and kind of seeing the light in the dark and kind of turning the mindset to being happy instead of sad.”

The singer said that the ever-changing music industry means fans won’t get an album anytime soon:

“It’s exciting to be in charge of my own destiny right now and go: "Well, i don’t have to do the album thing", also it’s a huge piece of work and it’s so different these days, things are received differently, things are played differently and the days of just putting albums out has changed.”

The 35-year-old is expected to wed her long-term partner Pat Handlin sometime this year. The couple’s nuptials were heavily delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic which separated her from her western Australia family:

“Perth borders did not open for a long time and so we started planning and then they just kept closing, so i was like: "There’s no point planning", because it’s just first of all, it’s really expensive, and second of all, it’s just heartbreaking to (cancel)”, she explained, “So we’re just gonna wait till they’re completely open and have been open for at least a few months so that there’s no threat of closing again.”

"The X Factor Australia" winner has conquered the music world and she’s ready to take on the competitive beauty world.

Jade is set to launch her own make-up, and although she remained mostly tight-lipped she did give a few hints:

“I had a make-up line in "Priceline" a few years ago and it was one of the most fun things...i am working on something right now that’s not out yet but will be out very soon...it’s a bit of a specific thing, but i can’t say anything yet, i’m sworn to secrecy, but it’s a bit of a specific thing in the make-up world”, she said.

The "ARIA"-winning star said one of her first stops, besides seeing her family, is going to Beaufort Street:

“Even just walking down that street and i feel my mum is there wheniI’m there and there’s some really good coffee shops along there too.”

How Samantha Jade plans on celebrating 10 years since "The X Factor Australia" win.

In the 10 years since winning season four of "The X Factor Australia", Samantha Jade has released four studio albums, won herself an "ARIA Award", branched out into acting and even returned to reality television on "The Celebrity Apprentice Australia".

Now, she is preparing to embark on an australian tour to celebrate her new music, as well as the major milestone in her career:

“Tour is my favourite thing in the World to do because singing live is just my everything”, she tells "Yahoo! Australia", “We're planning a tour for september / october because it's been 10 years this year since i was on "The X Factor Australia" and we want to do a really cool 10 year reunion show and do all the songs from the decade.”

Speaking about the time that’s passed since her appearance in the singing competition, Samantha admits it’s a “weird feeling” reflecting on how much has changed:

“In some ways, it feels like yesterday because I'm like: ‘Oh wow, it’s gone so fast, there’s so much that has happened”, she says, “But then i look back and i think: "Oh sweetie, what was that hair? What was i wearing?" and all of those thoughts and i'm like: "That was a long time ago because i would never let that happen now. It feels like a long time ago in the way that i know myself so much better now, but it feels like yesterday with how much has gone on.”

Most recently, Samantha has released her new single "Dance Again", which she wrote by herself while locked down in Sydney away from her family in Perth.

She explains that she drew inspiration for the song from her late mother, who passed away in 2014 after battling breast cancer, and the fact that australians “weren’t allowed to dance" due to COVID-19 restrictions:

“My mum was a dancer from when she was three, she danced her whole life. She loved to dance and it was what singing does for me, just like a relief”, she details, “When she got sick, basically the cancer kind of went through her whole body and she couldn't walk anymore, she couldn't use her legs and so she was bedridden for six months until she passed away. And i just remember she would still dance in her little bed, just the top of her body and she'd make me dance around the room. She would still put music on and we'd have little dance parties. And i thought, you know, God, what am i complaining about that i can't go out dancing? At least i can dance around the room, she couldn’t. So i wrote this song about when you're going through moments and you're sad and things seem like the world's going to end, it takes one thought or one thing to turn that around.”

"Dance Again" follows a string of upbeat tracks Samantha has released in the past few years, which she plans on bundling together for an upcoming two-part project:

“This time we're going to do two EPs, like volume one and volume two”, she says, “Because i feel like i have a lot of things that i wrote that are very moody and in that kind of vein of what we were going through at the time and then i have the bops. So i’ll put them on two different separate records. I never have a structure with that sort of stuff. I never go like: "It has to be an album and it all has to be cohesive". I just love good music and whenever i go into the studio and feel like writing, i write and then it just goes from there.”

Samantha Jade on how her late mum’s "shining light" inspired new song.

The aussie pop star drew on her mum’s passion for dancing to create a song about the power of positivity.

Singer, songwriter and actress Samantha Jade knows how much the power of music and dancing can lift a person’s spirit, even in the darkest times.

It’s been 10 years since the "ARIA Award" winner took out "The X Factor Australia" and there have been a lot of of highs and lows in the ensuing decade.

Two years after that win catapulted her into the pop spotlight, Samantha’s beloved mum, Jacqueline, died of cancer.

Among the many gifts her mum gave her before she lost her cancer battle in 2014, one in particular has stayed with her and inspired everything she has done since.

It’s even in the name of her new single, "Dance Again" - the message that song and dance can help you feel positive and get you through, even when the going gets tough:

“My mum was a dancer - she’d been dancing since she was three,” Samantha told "7News.com.au",  "She loved to dance, and she would always tell me and my brothers: "Just put on music and dance, and you’ll feel better". And you really do, you feel better afterwards. It expresses things that you probably can’t say, so you can just put music on and do it through just dancing it out. I’ve always kind of known that, and singing does the same thing for me. When i was writing this song, it was literally the time when we couldn’t go out and dance - we couldn’t go to nightclubs or pubs or dance at parties - I was thinking of that, but i was also thinking of my mum. When she got cancer, she was bedridden, she couldn’t really move any more, and she couldn’t dance - that ability was taken away from her. But she still always saw the light in the dark; she always saw the glass as half full.”

Draw the curtain, feels like it’s all over now / Try to pick myself up, but i’ve lost my ground / But there’s a voice inside me saying you know how / How to fight, how to be alive:

“She’s always my inspiration; everything i do now is with her in mind, and for her”, Samantha said, “We were so close and she was such a "light" It was really tough, and it still is.”

The "Bounce" singer, originally from Perth, rode out most of the pandemic lockdown periods from her home base of Sydney with her partner Pat Handlin, walking their new puppy “three times a day” and rearranging the house, “like a lot of other people.”

She stayed in constant touch with her western Australia-based dad, Kevin, with whom she is very close, describing him as her “moral compass”:

“When i was little, i was always saying: "I want to be a singer!". It’s all I’ve ever wanted to be and my dad was never like: "Go get a real job!", she said, “I was so lucky - my dad understood that that’s what i wanted to do and he just backed me. He’s always there and he’s my moral compass. He’s not just a great dad, he’s a great human.”

Samantha told "7News.com.au" she wanted "Dance Again" to have an uplifting, anthemic feel - to remind people that dark clouds can have a silver lining:

“I really wanted to put out something with some heart and some substance”, she said, "There’s been so much craziness with COVID-19, so it’s been a weird time in the industry. I’ve been in the studio and i’ve been doing the other side of the job, the recording process, so i’d forgotten how it feels to have a song out there in the World. It’s an exciting time though because you can feel this shift now, this passion for music and for seeing people performing live. For a lot of people, music really helped get them through COVID-19, through lockdowns.”

Rather than being apprehensive about getting out amongst the public and performing live again, Samantha is ready and raring to go:

“For any artist to tour, it’s the most fun, you get to perform these songs that you’ve created and dreamt of performing for so long”, she says of the long hiatus during COVID-19, "Get me out there! It’s been 10 years since "The X Factor Australia", so it would be wonderful to do something around that. There is something about singing live that is just so rewarding and there’s a feeling i get from it that i literally don’t get from anything else. It truly makes my soul happy.”

When the World’s too much and i’ve had enough / And i’m ‘bout to break / I remember there’s so much more to this / And my heart’s awake / And i’m gonna dance again

Samantha has also dabbled in acting, playing Isla Schultz in "Home And Away" and taking on the role of Kylie Minogue in "Never Tear Us Apart: The Untold Story Of INXS".

She’s still open to acting “if the right project comes along”, but making music remains the main focus.

As for "Dance Again" - a taster for an EP to be released later this year - she had one simple goal: “Just to have people sing along”:

“You know, you’re in the car and you’re driving and singing along to the radio, or you’re at home and you put on your favourite song”, she said, “Or you’re at home and you’re putting on your makeup, or cleaning the house. i wanted that kind of anthemic, singalong vibe - just for it to be uplifting and for it to make you feel good.”

These past few years, i’ve really missed performing in front of my fans and feeling that energy”, says Samantha, “Life doesn’t always go to plan. With numerous television appearances, including most recently Nine's ''The Celebrity Apprentice Australia'', 2.3 million in music sales and streamed more than 91 million times, the singer, songwriter and actress from Perth has faced her share of challenges along the way. She credits the support of her family and positive thinking as helping her to keep going.

According to Samantha, there’s nothing more important than having a strong support network through challenging times. During lockdowns, her dad was there to give her encouragement, however, it was her late mother’s words that helped inspire the chorus.

Her mum, Jacqui, grew up as a dancer and shared Samantha’s love of music. During the final stages of cancer, she would often encourage Samantha to keep going, stay positive or just get up and dance and live to the fullest, a spirit that Samantha continues to live by today.

Samantha worked with australian producer Liam Quinn on the track, who has worked with artists including Guy Sebastian, Rita Ora, and Keith Urban:

“I’m really excited and proud to have written this song. I had an idea for the melody playing in my head, and my niece’s words in my ears. We captured it all down in the studio where Liam worked his magic and it just all came together beautifully”, says Samantha, “I shared ''Dance Again'' with some of my closest friends and people i admire and they all came back to me straight away saying: ''Oh my Gosh, i love this song". I needed to hear that.’ I hope that this song helps give others a boost, who need to hear it as well.”

"The Celebrity Apprentice Australia's" Samantha Jade on the scenes she "hated" filming.

"The Celebrity Apprentice Australia's" Samantha Jade has revealed the scenes she "hated" shooting while filming the show last year, with the singer revealing it felt "very foreign" to her.

The 35-year-old singer spoke to "Yahoo!Lifestyle" about her time on the show, revealing the toughest part about filming:

"It is hard being produced", she told us, "That i found tough because whenever i do appear on television, i am, you know, either performing my music or talking about my songs or something i'm really passionate about it, whether it's a brand partnership or, you know, a charity that I'm working with. It's always something i'm really passionate about and love. And it's just like, whatever comes out of my mouth is from the heart", she continued, "This was so different because you're kind of being asked to like relive the day and like, you know, always answer the question with the question, like just little things like that, I was like: "Oh God! And the producers have to do it for the confessionals, they have to be like: "And who do you think should be fired this week?". And that stuff I'm like: "Oh my God, i'm so not that person to throw people under the bus. And it's just not in my nature. That was very foreign to me", Samantha added,"i hated doing stuff like that."

She also laughed while comparing the boardroom scenes to "being called into the principal's office when you've done something really wrong and you're in big trouble".

When asked if she'd ever consider trying another reality show like "I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!", the singer was quick to shut that idea down:

"I don't think so, no", she said, "Like, this was intense, i had no idea what to expect and it was hard, it was really hard. It's like nothing i've ever done before and i don't know if i'm the right person for reality television, i don't think i have it in me to do another show", then added with a laugh.

Samantha did add that she received some tips from her co-star Beck Zemeck: 

"She really understands reality television, which is a whole other beast", she explained, "She really understood it more than any of us did, even Gamble [Breaux]. I think Beck understood it on another level – what it entails and what it's like and how hard it is. She was even giving me pointers that were really helpful."

Samantha also shared that the feedback she's been receiving since being on the show was "mind-blowing":

"When i see some people comment or, you know, people write to you – because that's the one thing when you're on reality television – the people that come out of the woodwork to tell you their opinion is mind-blowing! And so many people are just like: "I would never do this, i would never do that" and i'm like: "No, you probably would!". You have no idea like you're in a pressure cooker!"

However, the singer shared that she was happy to do it all to support her chosen charity the "Cancer Council" after losing her mother to the disease, adding:

"They really are an incredible charity to get behind."

Exclusive: From crippling anxiety to leaving "The Celebrity Apprentice Australia" "in tears", Samantha Jade isn't afraid to talk about it:

''I was bawling my face off and shaking backstage cause i was like, i can't leave this room.''

Australia first met Samantha Jade when she won "The X Factor Australia" and it wasn't long before she captured the nation's hearts.

Now, she has returned to reality television on a vastly different show, "The Celebrity Apprentice Australia".

The 35-year-old admits to "NowToLove.com.au" that she prefers the singing contest to the "craziness" of Lord Sugar's boardroom:

"I think "The X Factor Australia" is a bit safer for me because singing is my comfort zone", she says.

Luckily, throughout the drama, she had her fiancé Patrick Handlin to support her through filming:

"I would come home in tears or just exhausted and i feel for all the partners when we were filming because it's very long days and it becomes a bubble. You forget there is a world outside the show. Pat would sit and listen to me for the millions of times that i would talk about what is going on. He would say: "There is a world outside of this. We're going to take Banks [the couple's Cavoodle] for a walk tomorrow" or "We're going to go and have dinner just so you can remember there is a world outside of the show", remembers Sam.

Besides the emotional rollercoaster that comes with filming the show, the singer was thrilled the "Cancer Council", her "dream charity," was happy for her to represent them on "The Celebrity Apprentice Australia":

"I was so grateful when they were like: "Yeah, we'd love to be a part of this", because of my story and how it connects with my mum. I lost my person to cancer", says Sam, whose mum Jacqui Gibbs lost her battle to cancer six months after she was diagnosed in 2014.

The mother and daughter were close and when they found out about her cancer, it had already spread around her body, so they couldn't find the primary source, which is why the "Cancer Council" was close to her heart:

"This particular charity doesn't focus on one kind of cancer. It focuses on cancer as a whole and i think that is really important for the people like mum, who didn't know what the main cancer was", she shares.

Sam doesn't go a day without thinking about her mum and she tells "NowToLove.com.au" that she still yearns to call her to get her opinion and support:

 "Obviously, it's so hard losing your mum like mum's the rock! She's the person who holds everything. She's the glue, you know? There is literally something every day that i think: "Oh, i wish i could call my mum and tell her about this or get her opinion on this, you know? That that never goes away. And that I don't reckon that ever gets easier."

The "Sweet Talk" crooner reveals she always had some anxiety, but "it came on very strong" when her mum passed.

It was so crippling that she went through periods where she couldn't leave her house and her chest pains would stop her from being able to do anything.

For a time, she suffered in silence, but when she didn't want to go on medication, Sam found talking about her experience liberating:

"I found for me; it was really helpful to speak about it. At first, i was kind of embarrassed because i was like; "What is happening with me? And i don't know how to deal with this. When i became a bit more open about it, that was when i learned to deal with it because pretty much every single person said; "Oh yeah, i've had a panic attack" or "I've had anxiety. And that actually makes you so selfishly feel so much better because you just don't feel alone", she shares.

Sam recalls a story from her first tour when a panic attack struck before going on stage:

"I couldn't get out of it. It was my tour. I had to do it. I was bawling my face off and shaking backstage because i was like: "I can't leave this room", she tells "NowToLove.com.au".

However, in a moment of solidarity, her band surrounded her with support and shared their own mental health stories:

"My whole band came in and they were really amazing. We all said a prayer, and they came in, and they were talking about their experiences", she says, "I was able to go out and do the show. I truly think that i became a robot. Like, i don't remember it. I don't even know how that happened, but i think, you know, due to second nature."

Sam's fiancé was also a massive support for the star and she fondly remembers Pat coming back from the store with lavender oil, tea, and anything else he could find to help ease her anxiety.

After having to delay their wedding multiple times throughout the pandemic due to Sam's family living in Perth, the couple is finally making it down the aisle very soon:

"At one point, we were like: "Do we just go down to the courthouse?", she jokes.

But after planning a few weddings, Sam says it made them more relaxed about the "little details":

"I think at the beginning you have this idea of it and how perfect it's going to be and all these little things. And then i think at time goes on, you're like: "You know what? That'll be fine."

Wedding bells aren't the only tunes shaking up Sam's year.

She is releasing a new song in a few weeks about finding "silver linings" after the "crazy time we've been through" since 2020 and a double EP is on the way too:

"It's a bit different. It's just packaged a little bit differently. I've kind of split it up into two, i think, at this moment, because i've got one that sounds a little different than the other. And i think i want to separate the two kinds of narratives onto two different ones", she hints.

Samantha Jade to leave "Sony Music Australia" and to sign to Pat Handlin's new record label?

Multiple artists split from "Sony Music Australia", Pat Handlin plots next move with Kyle Sandilands? (Exclusive)

Multiple chart-busting acts have vanished from "Sony Music Australia’s" roster as one of its former executives, Pat Handlin, readies to make a comeback after leaving the label, "The Music Network" can reveal.

Among the high-profile names that will no longer release new recordings with the major are hitmakers Samantha Jade, The Veronicas, Illy and LDRU, according to multiple sources. "The Music Network" understands that Illy and LDRU, who both enjoyed a string of hits during their respective stints at "Sony Music Australia", have already signed to a rival label ahead of new music releases this year.

The latest roster shake-up follows the defection of Dami Im to "ABC Music" in august 2020  and Jessica Mauboy to "Warner Music Australia" four months later. The latter ended a 14-year association that began after the singer appeared on season 4 of "Australian Idol". When announcing her new deal with "Warner Music Australia", Mauboy said she will be “forever grateful” for her time with "Sony Music Australia".

There is also industry speculation that Jade could be among the first signings of a new pact between "Sony Music Australia’s" former vice president of A&R, Pat Handlin, and radio shock jock, Kyle Sandilands. Sandilands’ reps told "The Music Network" that an announcement will be made soon.

Multiple sources also told "The Music Network" that Handlin is eagerly courting global chart-topper The Kid Laroi in a bid to become the wunderkind’s fourth manager. Laroi made headlines this month when it was revealed that he had cut ties with Adam Leber, his third manager since becoming hot property. The pair worked together for less than a year.

He is currently in Australia for his first national headline tour which begins in Sydney on thursday.

Laroi signed a development deal with "Sony Music Australia", aged 12, and worked closely with Handlin and the label’s former vice president of cultural marketing & artist development, Petrina Convey. "The First Nations" rapper went on to sign a global deal with "Columbia Records" and in February last year became the youngest australian solo artist to hit number #1 on the "ARIA" albums chart.

Handlin’s exit from "Sony Music Australia" was confirmed by reps from the record company last august. It followed the departure of Handlin’s father, Denis, from the same company in june 2021, after a very public investigation into "Sony Music Australia’s" workplace culture.

"The Music Network" is not suggesting any wrongdoing by either Pat Handlin or Denis Handlin and the results of "Sony’s" investigation have not been made public.

Sandilands was among a very small cohort of media personalities to openly downplay some of the claims that were included in an explosive "Four Corners" exposé that aired on ABC TV about the ex-"Sony Music Australia" boss, the company’s culture and some of its former executives.

Denis and other ousted executives, have denied the accusations levied against them.

The program delved into the rise and fall of Denis, as well as the toxic culture within the major record label under his leadership. It included claims of bullying, harassment, intimidation and abuse, as well a story about a sexual assault survivor leaving the organisation with an 80 000 dollars payout while the alleged perpetrator continued with the company for years:

“Oh, so the guy [Handlin] was a bit of a grog monster and yelled in the 80s. Big deal.”

Sandilands said on his breakfast show after the ABC TV program aired:

“[People said he was horrible] and i was like: "Okay, what’s he done? I’m waiting? Where is it?". He would belittle people. So what? Big deal. Like some angry boss screamed and belittled people. Get over it.”

"Sony Music Australia" is yet to hire a new CEO to lead its australian operations.

How Samantha Jade makes sure to honour her late mum who lost her battle with breast cancer:

''Will always remember the many pearls of wisdom she gave me 💜.''

In 2014, Samantha Jade and her family tragically lost her mum, Jacqueline "Jacqui" Gibbs.

It was only four months earlier that they found out about her breast cancer and when she lost her short battle, the singer announced the news on Instagram:

"Our beautiful mother Jacqueline Deans Gibbs passed away peacefully with family by her side", she wrote, "She fought till the very end with the strength and grace by which she lived her life and will be deeply missed. We appreciate your kind words, prayers, and respect for our family during this very difficult time."

When she was diagnosed, Sam took solace in her music and she kept writing to fulfil her mum's wishes:

"I'm writing from a different place. I have been focusing on making sure i've been working hard because my mum would not want it any other way", she told "NowToLove.com".

Sam recalled her mum had said: 

"Don't stop doing your music."

This year, the former "The X Factor Australia" contestant is competing on "The Celebrity Apprentice Australia" and she has chosen "Cancer Council" for her charity.

It's one of the many ways she has paid tribute to her mum.

During another chat with "NowToLove,.com", she shared how her family keep Jacqui in their hearts at Christmas time:

"We always have a moment", she said, "And i think every big event, especially Christmas, is the time of family and love and especially your Mum, so it's tough every year and it's something that always is very...it's the big moment of the day, realising she's not there."

Even though it's endlessly difficult facing loss, the 35-year-old explained they like to keep "tears to a minimum.":

"We always take a second and then we can hear mum going: "Enjoy your day, get on with it, enjoy it", so we try and keep it to a minimum", said the reality star.

In the years since her passing, Sam has been planning a wedding after getting engaged in 2019 to Pat Handlin. Although it's faced multiple cancellations over the years due to Perth's strict Covid-19 restrictions, she has already planned a touching tribute for her mum.

She told "NowToLove.com" about her heartwarming plans:

"I actually asked my dad the other day if he has her wedding dress, i thought that could be something special. I definitely want to pay tribute to my mum in some way…i think that will be important", she added.

On june 08th 2021, Sam penned an emotional story about her mum after coming across a photo she had taken of her while studying photography.

Alongside the picture, she shared on Instagram:

"It's only fitting she is holding a coffee cup because that was one of our favourite things to do together, go for a coffee. So simple yet we would laugh, cry, plan and solve all the problems of the world within a few hours of having coffee together and anyone that knew my mum would say after having a coffee with her you would feel like you could conquer the world. She was special that way.

Samantha said her mother had a "gift" for building up the confidence of others:

"It's been 7 years since i've had one of those coffees with my mumma, something i miss everyday, but i am so grateful for all the ones we did have and will always remember the many pearls of wisdom she gave me 💜", she wrote.

"The Salvation Army" are proud to announce the second instalment of "Christmas With The Salvos", a Christmas television special which will be airing on Seven this december.

After the success of last year’s Christmas special, which saw "The Salvos" take aussie household names of Adam Goodes, Samantha Jade and Fast Ed down the south coast of New South Wales to the bushfire-ravaged town of Batemans Bay, "The Salvos" are back again with another 30 minutes production which aims to spread hope and joy this Christmas.

This year’s special sees the return of Salvation Army ambassador Samantha Jade as well as Fast Ed, with new faces in Jules Sebastian and The Wiggles cast members Simon Pryce and John Pearce, all joining forces with The Salvos to give back to some very special families and individuals at Christmas.

This "Salvos" Christmas special is in conjunction with "The Salvation Army’s" annual Christmas appeal, which is currently aiming to raise $20 million to ensure that aussies doing it tough can have a special Christmas:

“I love working with "The Salvos". This is my 6th year and i have seen first-hand them helping people. They really do deliver on their message of hope”, said Samantha Jade, long-time ambassador of "The Salvation Army".

The Wiggles came and surprised some extremely deserving families and their children with additional or complex medical needs; Liam and Ally Holland, with their son Asher, who work for "The Salvos" in north-west Sydney, along with two families from their community (Amanda with kids Boston, Nash and Camden and Pat with daughter Georgia).

Along with Samantha Jade, The Wiggles decorated some cookies with the kids and finished with the Christmas favourite carol, "Jingle Bells", which got all the kids and parents dancing.

Jules Sebastian brought her eye for style and knack for baking to the Christmas special, wrapping some beautiful hampers and baking some delicious, simple Christmas cookies along with Samantha. The hampers were then distributed to the families who came along to the special lunch at the end of the special.

Fast Ed dipped into his recipe book and created a delicious Christmas feast for some incredibly deserving families who had both been helped by "The Salvos" as well as given back to those in need through "The Salvation Army".

Ed cooked a Christmas pudding-stuffed roast chicken and a date & coconut cake; two really affordable, simple and special dishes that anyone at home can create on any budget.

The Better Homes and Gardens chef said:

“The thing i love about "The Salvos" is that you don’t have to be part of "The Salvation Army" in order to appreciate all of its incredible benefits…they do great work.”

"Christmas With The Salvos" culminated in an intimate concert from Samantha Jade, who sung a medley of classic Christmas carols as "The Salvos" handed out hampers and toys to the families in attendance:

“I am so so proud to be a part of a movement like "The Salvos". They are giving people hope every day and especially at Christmas time", said Samantha Jade.

At Christmas, "The Salvos" distribute over 64 000 hampers and vouchers, give out around 500 000 gifts and toys to families in need at Christmas, provide over 130 000 meals across the country and provide more than 66 000 beds for over 10 000 families in need of accommodation during the festive season.

"Christmas With The Salvos" premieres on december 18th at 12pm on Seven. It will have encore screenings across Seven on Christmas day at 02:30pm will also be available to stream on 7Plus.
