Samantha Jade to perform at the Strathfield spring festival.

Strathfield’s biggest annual event, the Strathfield spring festival, will feature a jam packed entertainment line-up that includes a headline performance from one of Australia’s favourite female singers, Samantha Jade.

After writing and recording music in the US in the early stages of her career, Samantha Jade made her breakthrough when she won season four of "The X Factor Australia".

Her star power has continued to rise since her "The X Factor Australia" victory, with four top 20 singles and a coveted acting role playing Kylie Minogue is the Seven miniseries "INXS: Never Tear Us Apart". Her chart success has continued with her current single "Shake That" featuring Pitbull:

“I grew up in Perth, but now live in Sydney and it is such a huge city with towns within it! Strathfield is one of the best areas – amazing food, so central to everything, great shopping and i have to say passionate live audiences”, said Jade, “I am so thrilled to be playing at the spring festival. I am going to perform all my hits and some sneak previews from my forthcoming album.”

Samantha Jade: Nickelodeon's "SlimeFest" fears bad hair day.

Samantha Jade is nervous ahead of her second Nickelodeon's "SlimeFest".

She’s not worried about performing at the annual event, rather concerned the green muck will ruin her hair:

“I’ve not been slimed before so i’m nervous it won’t come out of my hair and i will have green hair”, Jade told "DailyTelegraph.com.au", “The audience are kids so they’ll let loose and have fun, they’ll be loud and i love that.”

Jade is one of several headline artists for the festivals at Sydney’s "Olympic Park Sports" centre and Melbourne’s "State Netball Hockey" centre on september 25th and 27th 2015 respectively.

18/08/15 - Samantha Jade being interviewed for the website "TheWest.com.au"

Jade at home with sibling shadow.

Samantha Jade has a little piece of home with her wherever she is.

The Morley-raised pop starlet, who rose to prominence on "The X Factor Australia" three years ago, has employed her younger brother TJ as her personal assistant as she builds up momentum for the release of her new album in october.

Home in western Australia this week to promote her latest single, "Shake That", Jade told "TheWest.com.au" she was happy to have the 20-year-old shadowing her every move because they don’t get sick of one another:

“He knows me — he knows i need a coffee before i do”, the Sydney-based star laughed.

“We are very close and we have a lot of mutual respect for one another. When it’s work, it’s work. But at the end of the day, we will hang out and go to a movie together. Every brother and sister have their moments but i really trust him. It’s hard to have someone be your PA — they have to be around you 24/7, they have your cards, your information and i won’t trust anyone other than my family with that.”

Jade, 28, added that both TJ and her youngest brother Alex, 18, were singers, but she didn’t want to push them into the industry until they were ready:

Home in Perth for the first time in “ages”, the songbird said she spent the weekend soaking up time with her tight-knit family.

“It’s been a really good few days — everyone from my family and friends came over on sunday and then i took my grandfather to see the "Dirty Dancing" the musical”, she said.

Back at work, Jade’s latest mission has been to encourage other young women to support rather than hate each other, with her new single Shake That acting as an ode to girl power.

She said she had experienced nasty criticism on social media, particularly around outfits she had worn to major events, but all she could do was brush it off.

“To be honest, i have stopped caring about it, i have started just reading the good comments”, Jade said.

“Obviously, there are things that do affect you — if they say something about my family then i get angry. But everyone has an opinion and you just have to deal with it, or you will be the most insecure person in the world.”

17 tips for living a glam life, as told by Samantha Jade.

We got the aussie pop princess to spill her secrets!

Since winning "The X Factor Australia" in 2012, Samantha Jade has shown she can do it all - from releasing hit songs, to playing Kylie Minogue in "INXS: Never Tear Us Apart", to being named the event ambassador for the very glamorous "Runway Weekend".

We caught up with the superstar and found out her secrets for living a glam life.

1. On dressing on point:

"I love the over-the-knee boots and i like those lace-up ones. I like the matchy-matchy trend that's been going on for awhile - the pencil skirt with the matching top. I like that cause you don't have to think! Your outfit's done!"

2. On her travel beauty necessities:

"Evian" water spray - definitely need that, especially for long plane rides! Always have some make-up wipes and some "Rescue Remedy Stress Relief "- they just calm me down!"

3. On the style icons she loves:

"I really like Victoria Beckham, i really like simplicity. I like when you look like you're not trying too hard, but it's actually taken you five hours to put it all together! And i do think Rachel Zoe is amazing. I couldn't do the fashion she wears, but i love to look at it!"

4. On three fashion pieces every girl needs:

"A great pair of black jeans, whether they be high-waisted, low-waisted, whatever, but definitely skinny leg. A good white t-shirt cause you can pair it with anything: a leather jacket, a blazer, a skirt, pants, little shorts. And third, maybe a great pair of nude heels. I love the whole black-outfit-with-nude-heels look."

5. On designers that will keep you on fleek:

"I'll go with australian designers because i really think we've got incredible designers. I love "Zhivago", they're a Perth brand and i'm a Perth girl, but i just love everything they do, it's so structured and it fits me! I love Alice McCall, she does cute and playful really well and her shows are always just so fun to go to! And Tony Matičevski, his stuff is just amazing, you look at it and you're like "I'm in a dream, i love that!". It's just perfection!"

6. On her go-to look for a night out:

"Always the LBD, it's always a good one. I have a few signature little black dresses with different necklines. That or i really like to wear a maxi skirt with a little crop top, i love that look. It's always a bit more elegant too and you show the best part of every girl's stomach - the veeeeery top! (Laughs)"

7. On her go-to look for a first date:

"For a first date I'd maybe just go with jeans, a white t-shirt and a blazer, or maybe a nice jumper with a big knit, in cream. Never go toooo dressed up because i hate getting to a place and being overdressed, i'd rather be underdressed."

8. On style advice for young girls who are still finding their look:

"I'm still finding what works for me! But in the last few years, i've really found what works for my body. For me, there's certain things that i would love to wear that just don't work for my body, for my height or just the way i'm structured. So don't chase the trends, find what works for your body."

9. On how to look flawless when you're exhausted from a hectic schedule:

"Drink a lot of water, you gotta stay hydrated! But also, make sure your hair's nicely done. I feel like when your hair's good, you can kind of just do the no make-up look. Make sure you've got a good blow-dry!"

10. On getting ready in a rush:

"If my hair's not blow-dried? Top knot. Then foundation, so my skin's even and then, make sure you've got a good jacket on! Just something that kind of finishes off your outfit!"

11. On the most important beauty product to have:

"A good moisturiser is so important."

12. On must-have items for the handbag:

"I've always got my eyelash curler cause i have dead-straight lashes and you gotta keep curling them! Concealer and water, always!"

13. On the best fragrance:

"J'adore" by "Dior", it's my fave!"

14. On treating yourself:

"Oh, book a massage! I love massages, i think you need that moment just to rejuvenate and even just cause you can't do anything when you're getting a massage, you can't be on your phone, you can't speak to anyone, you're forced to relax!"

15. On enjoying being unglamorous at times:

"Well, i've got two brothers and they love to play laser tag and that is not glamorous, but i love it! I mean, they beat me every time, but i still try!"

16. On the perfect night out:

"First, the girls come over to my house and we all get ready together. I feel like that's always the best part, with the music on! Then, going to a nice dinner and ending up dancing somewhere. I love to dance!"

17. On the perfect week off:

"I would be travelling! Get me to London, get me to Paris or Italy! I love to travel, but it's always hard to get a lot of time off! A week would be great!"
