Jade to sweet-talk Pride crowd.
She has been called the third Minogue sister, so who better to headline western Australia's version of the famed Mardi Gras afterparty than Perth pop princess Samantha Jade .
"The X Factor Australia" 2012 winner, who portrayed Kylie Minogue in this year's smash-hit Seven's "INXS: Never Tear Us Apart" miniseries, is back in town to headline "The Court" hotel's massive "White Party" tonight, which coincides with the 25th anniversary of the Pride parade.
Jade told "TheWest.com.au" she could think of no better place for the live debut of her hot new single "Sweet Talk", which was released yesterday and is quickly climbing the iTunes singles chart:
"I can't wait. I have wanted to perform at "The Court" for so long. I have had some big nights there and i have always been in the audience dancing, so i am really excited to be on that stage", she said, "When i heard that i had this performance the day after the single came out, i knew it couldn't be more perfect. "Sweet Talk" is a fun summer dance song and the girls (local drag queens Hannah Conda and Ruby Jewelz) just told me they can't wait to do it in their shows. The next time i come back, i don't want to perform, i want to watch them do my songs."
The 27-year-old said she had noticed she had a strong gay following and said they were different from other fans:
"They are such loyal fans and they appreciate really high notes", she laughed, "If you do a high note at a gay club, it is like the world stops."
After spending Christmas with her family in Bali, Jade will head back to Los Angeles to put the finishing touches on her highly anticipated second album.
"The album is nearly done. I'm going to Los Angeles in january to put the last tweaks on the record and then it all goes in for mastering, so it is very exciting", she said.
