In what has already been a massive year for Samantha Jade, the pocket rocket pop singer is facing legal action from a disgruntled former management team.
"Confidential" has obtained documents lodged in a californian court last week outlining a damages case from "Camp West Recorders Inc" company presidents John Harris and Ty Knox.
The pair is suing Jade for damages and alleged contract breaches as well as "Sony Music", "Parade Artists", "FremantleMedia Australia" and Simon Cowell's "Syco Entertainment".
Jade, 26, signed a development deal with Harris and Knox at 15, when she moved to Los Angeles.
The pair claim they spent $2 million developing her as an artist and that Jade is still signed to their management company.
They believe they're entitled to the benefits of her ongoing success:
"We developed Samantha as an artist" Harris told "Confidential" , "We wanted her to be a big star and our role was to do whatever was necessary to take her to the next level."
Jade won "The X Factor Australia" last november and has since become one of our top pop stars. But it took Jade some time to come to terms with the victory.
She and her management team at "Parade" will defend the action:
"Parade Management" stands proudly shoulder to shoulder with Samantha Jade" said manager David Champion, "We will passionately support Samantha in fighting these baseless claims."
"Sony Music Australia" also disputes the claims against the last "The X Factor Australia" winner, who was mentored by Guy Sebastian:
"We are aware of the claim in Los Angeles by Samantha's former manager", a "Sony Music" spokesman told "Confidential":
"Sony Music" has acted properly at all times and will deal with this litigation accordingly."
Insiders tell "Confidential" Jade's next anthemic pop single will be a huge hit. It's called "Firestarter" and was co-written with chart toppers DNA and will be released on june 28 2013. An album and tour will follow.
