15/10/14 - Samantha Jade performing at ''Jubille'' festival in Perth

15/10/14 - Samantha Jade being interviewed by the website "BunburyMail.com.au"

Fresh off the runway at the Perth fashion festival, pop sensation Samantha Jade is set to perform an exclusive show in Bunbury.

Western Australia’s darling of the music industry shot to fame as the winner of the fourth season of "The X Factor Australia" in 2012.

Since then, she has been impressing audiences across the World and has just returned from a stint in Los Angeles where she has been putting the finishing touches on her next album.

Speaking to the "BunburyMail.com.au", Jade said her life was completely changed by her time on the show:

“Most of Australia’s biggest singers have made if from reality television shows and i think it is great that artists can have a platform from shows like "The X Factor", she said.

Her success has bought with it a legion of devoted fans, including the australian soccer team who used Jade’s song "Up!" as the official song of the Socceroos at this year’s FIFA World Cup.

It is not just Jade’s music that is turning heads, but her major acting debut as Kylie Minogue in the mini-series "Never Tear Us Apart":

“To be given the privilege of taking on the role of such an iconic australian singer and to live up to her legacy made me very nervous,” Jade said, “I’m hoping to definitely continue my career as an actress.”

But first, Jade is set to appear at Bunbury centre point shopping centre on sunday, as a star in the "Telstra Thanks Tour".

Jade said she loves performing for regional crowds and can’t wait to sing for her south west fans:

“I absolutely love performing in regional areas. It makes me feel great to reach out and connect to my fans in smaller places”, she said,  “Unlike the major areas, they do not have the privilege of seeing their favourite artists as often and it makes their response a lot louder.”

The show will kick off at 12.30pm and you could win a VIP experience by answering a simple question at the performance and be given the chance to meet Samantha Jade.

To win, you must be at the centre from 11am.

14/10/14 - Samantha Jade being interviewed for the website "DailyMail.co.uk"

'"It's almost like therapy": Samantha Jade says staying focused on her music career has helped her stay positive after mother's tragic death.

After having lost her mother Jacqui in june to a long battle with cancer, Samantha Jade says working on her music has helped her get through the past few months.

Speaking to the "DailyMail.co.uk" on tuesday, the 27-year-old who has most recently written a song for the "Sony Xperia Z3" campaign, said songwriting is "almost like therapy":

"As a songwriter, anything that is close to you gives you inspiration", she said, admitting the last few months have definitely influenced the themes of her upcoming tracks:

"We’ve really kind of touched on some of the sad things", she continued, but also added she would like her new album to also feature some upbeat tunes, "Some of the time i want to write about something that makes me feel good and happy so there’s those moments", she said, 'The record is a combination of a great time and the realness of what you go through."

It has been a tough few months for the pop star, who lost her mother to cancer on june 08th.

The singer and actress has recently returned from a trip to New York, London and Paris with her father Kevin Gibbs and two younger brothers Alex and Thomas, after saying their last farewell to the 51-year-old matriarch at the funeral at "Freemantle" cemetery in Perth.

Emphasising the importance of having her family around her, Samantha said the last few months have 'been really tough' and having her family is "the only reason i have got through it and getting through it actually."

The petite beauty has been very busy over the last few days, putting her songwriting skills to the ultimate test for a new "Sony" campaign.

Collaborating with her best friend and song producer Zac Poor, the "Up!" singer had 48 hours to write and record a song with the new "Sony Xperia Z3" mobile phone:

"The battery life lasts up to 48 hours which is pretty amazing if you have to think about how many times you’ve got to charge your phone", the singer gushed about the new gadget, "So we gave ourselves a challenge to write a song in the same amount of time. Obviously, you can't force creativity", she reflected on the time pressures the duo faced:

"It's hard to sit down and go write a song. You know it's not like signing off paperwork."

Admitting the task "was a bit of a challenge", Samantha said the experience was still exhilarating to say the least:

"I work well under pressure and i like challenges, so i was like: "Ok we can do this, we can beat it" and we ended up coming out on top", she explained, adding the song's title "Always And Forever" was in fact inspired by the "whole idea of the phone lasting so long."

The "ARIA  Music Award" winner is also anticipating the release of her new single next month, before she jets to Bali soon after to spend Christmas overseas with her family and best friend:

"We just signed off on the artwork for the new single, so that’s really exciting", she revealed, adding her entire new album is then set to be released in the first quarter of next year.
